Traveling the Silk Road

Attend the event  Journey on the Silk Road by Zulya Rajabova at Randolph library in NJ.

Zulya Rajabova, experienced guide and interpreter, will help you gain an understanding of the history, geography, languages, culture, and traditions of the Central Asia countries and Central Asia Tours. She will also display the colorful traditional bride and bridegroom costumes, silk and gold embroidery items, hats, pillows, purses, and silk road bags. 

You will take in the bustling sights and sounds of an exotic bazaar. From stunning mountain ranges to glittering alpine lakes to vast stretches of steppe and desert, you will witness the region where traders carried the legends of Alexander the Great, Roxanna, and Marco Polo.

Ms.  Zulya Rajabova, a resident of Chester, NJ, is from Bukhara, Uzbekistan. Having grown up in a city with 3000 years of history, her playground included temples and monuments, ancient narrow lane ways, and the adobe home of her ancestors. Thank you so much for inviting us to your presentation on Central Asia Cultures  at the American Museum of Natural History. We enjoyed hearing and watching you work and for us, it just made us want to travel to Central Asia even more.
Also, the Silk Road exhibit was terrific.  We  learned a lot more about the history of Silk Road which will be helpful when we get there.
